This setting allows the modeling of more realistic real-life scenarios in which agents not only will leave the domain at a certain point in time (like during the evacuation of pedestrians or in debt refinancing dynamics) but also act competitively to anticipate the strategies of the other agents. We shall establish the existence of Nash Equilibria for such class of mean-field game of controls systems under certain regularity assumptions on the dynamics and the Lagrangian cost. Much of the paper is devoted to establishing several a priori estimates which are needed to circumvent the fact that the mass is not conserved (as we are in a Dirichlet boundary condition setting). In the conclusive sections, we provide examples of systems falling into our framework as well as numerical implementations.},

Then, we describe a numerical method, suitable for the study of kinetic equations in evolutionary domains with possibly complicated geometries. Finally, we show and comment some simulations. In particular, our numerical simulations show that shepherd moons play a key role in the formation and maintenance of divisions between rings.},

The peculiar structure of resonant collision rules allows to tensorize the problem into a velocity-related one, neighbouring the monatomic case, and an internal energy-related one. Our analysis is based on a specific treatment of the internal energy contributions. We also propose a geometric variant of Grad's proof of the same compactness property in the monatomic case.},

abstract = {This paper studies a model for describing opinions' evolution in a community linked by microblogging directed network systems. The network can evolve in time by means of the creation and the deletion of some connections. When a connexion is created, the individuals have access to the whole history of posts written by the corresponding author and, when a connexion is destroyed, all the posts written by the corresponding author become invisible. The agents' opinions are described by a set of continuous opinion variables in the closed interval Omega=[-1,1]. They represent the agreement (or disagreement) of the corresponding agent with respect to a binary question (such as a referendum or an election with two candidates). The model takes into account the effects on public opinion caused by the sign and the intensity of the initial opinions of the agents, their activity in microblogging platforms the presence of leaders and the possible manipulations of the visibility of the posts by the microblogging platform owner. The model is written as a system of integro-differential equations and simulated by using a Runge-Kutta method. We show that hidden manipulation can have an important impact on the public opinion formation and that very mild interventions of the network owner may induce major effects on the population. In our simulations, the effect of hidden manipulation is shown to be more efficient in driving the public opinion than the action of a leader, in the case of bounded confidence models and for short-time intervals.},

The equations of the model are derived in the diffusive limit of a kinetic system of Boltzmann equations for the considered mixture, in the general non-isothermal setting. The asymptotic analysis of the kinetic system is performed under a reactive-diffusive scaling for which mechanical collisions are dominant with respect to chemical reactions. The resulting system couples the Maxwell-Stefan equations for the diffusive fluxes with the evolution equations for the number densities of the chemical species and the evolution equation for the temperature of the mixture. The production terms due to the chemical reaction and the Maxwell-Stefan diffusion coefficients are moreover obtained in terms of general collision kernels and parameters of the kinetic model.},

abstract = {The importance of achieving sustainable development and addressing environmental challenges has gained increasing recognition within the academic community. Scholars have emphasized the interconnected elements of economic wellbeing, social inclusion, and environmental protection (Baghdadi, et al. 2020; Johnson et al., 2021; Dennehy et al., 2021; Dwivedi et al., 2022). Ef- forts have been made to leverage technology and analytics to promote sustainable development and energy conservation (Albizri, 2020; Khene & Masiero, 2022; Masiero & Arvidsson, 2021). However, achieving inclusive and resilient futures for both people and the planet requires collab- oration among academic disciplines, policymakers, practitioners, and the intended beneficiaries of the Sustainable Development Goals (Harfouche et al., 2019; Harfouche et al., 2022).
For instance, even prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, the need to prepare for sudden outbreaks of new infectious diseases was recognized (Osterholm, 2005) . The recent pandemic has further highlighted the urgency of developing action plans to effectively counter future pandemics (Wen- ham et al., 2021). Understanding the behavior and characteristics of new contagious diseases is a gradual process, resulting in a lack of knowledge and potential underestimation of their long-term consequences. Therefore, early-stage preventive measures such as social distancing, mask usage (e.g., FFP2 masks), and frequent handwashing are crucial to mitigate the risks of contagion.
However, the social acceptability of these preventive measures often falls short of what is necessary (Reed et al., 2020). Health policymakers frequently face the dilemma of whether to enforce mandatory measures, carefully weighing the risks and benefits associated with each choice. To address this challenge, this article aims to study a quantitative model that utilizes real data to simulate and examine how the progression of a pandemic influences the spontaneous adherence to prevention measures. By providing quantitative predictions on the acceptability of these measures, this model can serve as a valuable tool to support policymakers in making informed and sustainable decisions.},
